DON'T START WRITING PAPER WITHOUT READING QUESTION PAPER CORRECTLY
Students do not read question paper correctly |
- Properly read your question paper twice and read all the main questions.
- Check how many answers are asked to be written in the question paper for each main question and assign time to each question accordingly.
- Ask the supervisor if you have any doubt regarding the question paper.
- Turn the paper and check if there are more questions on the next page and assign time to each question accordingly.
DO NOT FORGET TO WRITE SKIPPED QUESTIONS
Skipped question circled with a pencil |
- Circle the skipped question with a pencil during exams and do write that answer when you finish your entire paper.
- Keep the required amount of time that you need to write that answer in your mind and write the paper accordingly by maintaining a good amount of writing speed.
Tip No 4:-
Student giving up when they don't know certain answers |
- Do not lose hope.Firstly write all the answers that you do know.
- Do not leave any question unanswered.Every mark matters so try to write as much as you can.
- Even if you write 2 to 3 points, you will get some marks for it even if the answer is incomplete(At least it is better than getting nothing)
Student spending a lot of time on one question |
Many students make this exam mistake and spend a lot of time on one question in two cases-
1)When they get stuck on that question and try to figure out a way to solve the question.
2)When they have complete knowledge of that answer and try to write it all irrespective of the marks it carries.
In both these cases, students face time issues and miss up writing some important questions ahead carrying more marks.
- If you get stuck on a particular question, try to leave it as it is at that point and after solving all the questions, come back and solve that one.
- Analyse how much marks a question carries and write answer accordingly(Writing extra won't give you more marks)
DO NOT DISCUSS PAPER AFTER EXAMS
Students discussing question paper during exams |
- No matter how good or bad your paper is, do not discuss your paper.
- You will not be able to change the results of that paper now, so there is no need to discuss the paper now.
- If you find that your friends are discussing the paper, ask them not to do so or else go away from them during that time.
